My Sister's family come for a visit

Image
I do my best to keep my family safe and happy. Ethan was over the moon excited when my sister showed up at the front door this past weekend unexpected. Karen and I knew.. .but it was a little secret that we kept from him... just for this reaction! After the surprise there was no bringing him down. He was on level 100 all weekend. But, that was part of the fun. It's always great to have family around.

End of the Year Party -(the forgotten images)

So, every once and a while, I forget to upload/process/ post pictures that i've taken. It's a combination of being too busy and forgetting. Whatever... no excuses. Ethan's been out of school for a couple of weeks now. So here we go. This is the party that his school threw for the first and second graders on the last week of school. They danced, played games, ate food, played more games.

Knight-Lights Driving through the City, long exposures

So I was inspired by a video done by Brian Peterdon to take long exposure photography on the road. Brisnpeterdon does short informative videos for adorama TV on YouTube. He reminds me of an older Jared Polin,... Except he recently cut off his hair. Anyway, Peterson used an variable ND filter to take a long exposure picture in a moving car during the day.      Well, I stacked two ND filters and did the same thing at night.  I love it. I am always looking to take pictures that can be seen as art. This set right here is one of my favorites so far. Next I want to try it during the day. By the way, no law were broken in the making of these pictures. The camera was on a tripod in the back seat and strapped into a seatbelt. I tried to pop a flash to light up the inside of the car.  But, that would have been too dangerous. i love the craziness in the middle maybe i call this warp speed i like the one line that dips while the others seem straight
